He was Born on 22 June 1955 at Dhule, Maharastra. He completed his school at St.Francis De’Sales High School Nagpur, Maharastra. He completed his CA From ICAI and LLB From Nagpur University. He started his career as a Charted Accountant in Taxation. He started his legal career as an intern in 1980 at JB Dadachandji & Co. He represented India before the International Court of Justice in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case. Jadhav was sentenced to death by a Pakistani Military Court on charges of spying. His efforts in ICJ were able to get a stay on Kulbushan Death Sentence, for this case he charged only ₹1(INR) in legal fees. Legal Career:- He started his career as a Charted Accountant in Taxation. He started his legal career as an intern in 1980 at JB Dadachandji & Co He was appointed as a Senior Counsel by the Delhi High Court. He worked with former Attorney General Soli Sorabjee from 1980–1986. He was also worked as a Solicitor General of India From 1 November 1999 – 3 November 2002 He was appointed as Amicus Curiae by the Supreme Court cases relating to the preservation of the environment. Notable Cases of Senior Advocate Harish Salve:- He argued the first Anti Dumping case in the Supreme Court of India. He represents large corporations like Reliance Industries Limited, Tata Groups.ITC Limited. He represented Vodafone in its $2.5 billion tax dispute with the Indian Government. He initially lost the case in the Bombay High Court, but later won in the Supreme Court. He also appeared as a defence counsel in the Aarushi Hemraj Double Murder Case. In May 2017, he represented India before the International Court of Justice in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case.
