The move came amid mounting tension in the state where the government, in a midnight swoop, had put the top political leadership under detention and restricted their movement. It also suspended telecom/internet services in the state. Security is at its peak in Jammu and Kashmir. Still no updates of violence in Jammu and Kashmir. The order revoked special status of the state. Here is the list what has changed in the status of Jammu and Kashmir after the order: · Special Autonomy of Jammu and Kashmir has been revoked. · Part 1 of article 370 will still be applicable. · Whole of Constitution of India will be applied in Jammu and Kashmir. · Article 356 will now be applicable in Jammu and Kashmir. · There will not be any dual citizenship in Jammu and Kashmir. · Jammu and Kashmir will be a Centrally Governed Union Territory with its own legislature. · Ladakh will not be a part of Jammu and Kashmir. · Ladakh will be a separate Union Territory. · Article 35A will be suspended in consequence to revocation of Article 370. · Jammu and Kashmir will have Indian National Flag as its flag. · Minority will have a reservation in Jammu and Kashmir. · Tenure of The legislature of Jammu and Kashmir will now be of 5 years.
