For CBSE class 12 boards, the situation will be reviewed on June 1 and revised dates will be announced thereafter. For CBSE class 10 students, the result will be prepared based on an “objective criterion” to be developed by the Board. Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be allowed to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams. Last year too CBSE had devised a new scheme for class 10 students. Over 30 lakh students appear for CBSE class 10 and 12 board exams every year on average. Amid rising cases of coronavirus pandemic, there is concern over the health of students and teachers on duty during exams. Also, since the entire academic session is being held online, students have been demanding an online exam.
