In light of the nationwide surge in coronavirus cases, the Class 10 and 12 exams which were to be held from May 4 have been deferred, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations’ chief executive and secretary Gerry Arathoon said. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced that ICSE and ISC (Class 12) final exams have been postponed and a final decision on the conduct of the board exams will be taken in the first week of June 2021. This was done in response to the increase in COVID-19 cases across the country. While exams will be held for ISC students later, ICSE students will be allowed to opt-out.
