Supreme court set aside the Allahabad high court order for banning the DJ in the State Admin Sat, Jul 17, 2021, at ,02:03 PM the Supreme Court quashed a direction of the Allahabad High Court imposing a blanket ban on operation of DJ services.which is directly affect the thousands of DJ operators in Uttar Pradesh who perform at weddings and birthday parties to earn livelihood,and violate article 19&21 of indian Constitution.A Bench of Justice Vineet Saran and Justice Dinesh Maheswari has provided that DJ operators can play DJ after obtaining licenses. Supreme Court observed that the Allahabad High Court imposed a ban without hearing the DJ operators & passed orders in an unrelated petition.The high court issued a plethora of directions on a writ petition on August 20, 2019, taking into account the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, and the top court’s 2005 directive, which dealt with the impact of noise pollution on people’s daily lives.
