The plea, filed by an advocate asks the supreme court for setting time limits for the expiry of caste-based reservations in the educational institutes in the country. A Bench of Justices L. Nageswara Rao and S. Ravindra Bhat informed the Petitioner that the Court was not interested to entertain the petition. The right to reservations is not a fundamental right stated by many Supreme court judges in the landmark judgment. The petition, filed by Dr. Subhash Vijayran, an MBBS doctor, argued that in the reservation.
