About K. L. Arora, Chair in Criminal Law
The K.L. Arora Chair in Criminal Law at National Law University Delhi is a critical initiative that aims to advance the field of criminal law through teaching, research, and advocacy. It was founded in 2011 by esteemed Justice D.P. Wadhwa, a former Supreme Court of India judge, and serves as a testament to the late Shri Kundan Lal Arora, Senior Advocate.
This Chair has served as a beacon of scholarly dialogue, legal education, and public engagement on critical issues in criminal justice, with luminaries including Professor BB Pande, Professor K. Chockalingam, Professor G.S. Bajpai, and Mr. Dayan Krishnan, Senior Advocate. Dr. Sidharth Luthra, Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India, currently occupies the Chair.
About the internship
We look forward to welcoming a diverse group of in-person interns who can join us on campus and fully benefit from NLU Delhi's collaborative and immersive environment.
Short-Term Internship Programme: Short-term interns will work under the Chair for at least one month, but up to two months (December 2025-January 2026), assisting with ongoing research projects.
Eligibility
Students must have completed two years of the five-year integrated LL.B. Programme or one year of the three-year LL.B. Programme. Students who have studied and completed criminal law coursework as part of their LL.B. programme will be given preference.
Applicants must have a solid academic record, excellent research and writing skills, and a strong interest in criminal law.
Previous research experience, while not required, will be considered advantageous.
Interns who live in the Delhi NCR region and are close to NLU Delhi will be given preference.
