About the Vacancy for Law Researchers at Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC)

The Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), located in the S-Block of the Delhi High Court, has announced an exciting opening for Law Researchers.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for these highly desired Law Researcher roles, candidates must satisfy certain criteria:

Essential Qualification: Candidates must be registered as an Advocate under the Advocates Act 1961 with any State Bar Council.
Experience: At least two years of work experience is required as of July 1, 2025.
Desired Specialization: A Diploma or Postgraduate degree/LLM in Arbitration Law, Commercial Law, or Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is highly preferred.
Skills: Applicants must have strong research and analytical skills, excellent writing ability, and good computer proficiency, including familiarity with legal search engines like Manupatra, SCC Online, and Westlaw.
Age Limit: Applicants should not exceed 27 years of age as of July 1, 2025.

Role of a DIAC Law Researcher

The Law Researcher roles at DIAC are offered on a short-term contract basis.

Initial Term: The initial contract lasts for six months.
Extension: The contract can be extended up to three years, contingent on performance and needs.
Nature of Job: This is a full-time position, entirely contractual, and does not guarantee permanent employment at DIAC.
Notice Period: Law Researchers may be released early without notice. If a Law Researcher wishes to resign early, a minimum of one month's written notice to the Coordinator is required.

Remuneration

Rs. 65,000/- (Rupees Sixty Five Thousand only) per month.
