The Debate and Literary Society, in collaboration with the Entertainment and Media Law Committee, School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, is pleased to announce Peitho Cup 2026 – The 2nd Edition.
Peitho Cup 2026 brings together passionate debaters, speakers, writers and critical thinkers from institutions across the country for an intellectually stimulating competition featuring two exciting formats: Asian Parliamentary Debate and The Reporter’s Showdown.
What to Expect
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in challenging debates, demonstrate their advocacy and communication skills, and showcase their ability to think critically and respond effectively under pressure.
The Reporter’s Showdown will further test participants’ research, writing, reporting and analytical abilities.
Prize Pool
The competition offers an exciting prize pool across both categories:
Debate – Winner: ₹50,000
Debate – Runner-Up: ₹30,000
Best Speaker: ₹10,000
Reporter’s Showdown – Winner: ₹10,000
Reporter’s Showdown – Runner-Up: ₹7,000

Online Rounds: 12–13 September 2026Offline Rounds: 03–04 October 2026

Registration Deadline: 30 August 2026Registration Fee: ₹4,000 per team
Each team will consist of:
3 Debaters + 1 Reporter
